Leap Frogs is a story hour for children who have turned three years old. Younger siblings have the opportunity to attend Tiny Tadpoles during this time. Adults are encouraged to allow their child to participate in the activities with their peers and to not sit with a different group. One of our goals is to teach the children to be part of a classroom and prepare them for the transition to kindergarten; however, parents must remain in the building. Morning sessions begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.
Tiny Tadpoles are special storytimes for out tiniest patrons where a parent or caregiver is a part of the program. Stories, fingerplays, music, social playtime, and peer interactions are incorporated into the 55 minute program. Penny Basenhard (Mrs. B), the facilitator, is a former Kindergarten and Preschool teacher.
