Roo's Story Times are special story times for the library's tiniest patrons (children ages 6 months to 23 months) where a parent or caregiver is a part of the program. Stories, fingerplays, music, social playtime, and peer interactions are incorporated into the 45 minute program. Penny Besenhard (Mrs. B), the facilitator, is a former Kindergarten and Preschool teacher.

Sign up for either a 9:15 AM or 10:15  AM session. Roo's Story Times meet on Tuesday mornings
Start: 10:00 am
End: 11:00 am

Pooh Bear's story time is for children who have turned three years old by September 1, 2011.  Parents are encouraged to leave their child to participate in the activities alone with their peers. One of our goals is to teach the children to be part of a classroom and prepare them for the transition to kindergarten; however, parents must remain in the building. Morning sessions begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and the afternoon sessions begin at 1:00 p.m.  Sign up for either Tuesday or Wednesday morning sessions, or Wednesday afternoon sessions. By signing up for a particular day and time, your child is registered for all sessions.

Pooh Bear's Story Times are for children who are able to sit alone without a parent next to him/her for approximately 60 minutes as stories, songs, & fingerplays are presented. Miss Lori & Miss Hope are facilitators of this program which also includes a craft that goes along with each theme.

Registration information:

The child must be pre-registered in one of the 16 spaces available for each story time. When spaces are filled, a waiting list will be created. Any registered child who misses one session without contacting us in advance will surrender the space to the next child on the waiting list.

*Registration is required*
