Roo's Story Times are special story times for the library's tiniest patrons (children ages 6 months to 23 months) where a parent or caregiver is a part of the program. Stories, fingerplays, music, social playtime, and peer interactions are incorporated into the 45 minute program. Penny Besenhard (Mrs. B), the facilitator, is a former Kindergarten and Preschool teacher.
Pooh Bear's story time is for children who have turned three years old by September 1, 2011. Parents are encouraged to leave their child to participate in the activities alone with their peers. One of our goals is to teach the children to be part of a classroom and prepare them for the transition to kindergarten; however, parents must remain in the building. Morning sessions begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and the afternoon sessions begin at 1:00 p.m. Sign up for either Tuesday or Wednesday morning sessions, or Wednesday afternoon sessions. By signing up for a particular day and time, your child is registered for all sessions.
Piglet's Story Times are special story times for library patrons (children ages 2 to 3 years) where a parent or caregiver is a part of the program. Stories, fingerplays, music, social playtime, and peer interactions are incorporated into the 45 minute program. Penny Besenhard (Mrs. B), the facilitator, is a former Kindergarten and Preschool teacher.
This evening story hour is geared toward children 3-6 years old, but anyone 6 months to 6 years can attend. Children are welcome to come to the library in their pajamas with a caregiver for stories, crafts, and quiet time activities. Story times are Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 PM in the library annex. Donna Gerding, the facilitator, is a kindergarten teacher at Lincoln School.

The whole family can dress as pirates & participate in some swashbuckling activities in the library annex. There will be pirate snacks and a treasure hunt. Each family can make a pirate ship craft or choose one less complicated. Come for the fun and leave with great memories!
Based on the DC Comic character, a test pilot is granted an alien ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe.
