Notice of Board of Trustees Vacancy
The Board of Trustees of the Reddick Public Library District is seeking to fill a vacancy that has occurred on the Board. Anyone interested in being considered for an appointment as Trustee to fill this vacancy should submit a letter of interest to Neil Reinhardt-President, Board of Trustees, at Reddick Public Library District, 1010 Canal Street, Ottawa, IL 61350 or email to board@reddicklibrary.org. Letters must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Please include the following in the letter:
- Qualifications and experience
- Availability for regular board meetings and committee meetings
- Brief statement of the role of the public library in the community
The appointment shall extend until after the next election is held on April 6, 2027, and until the newly elected Trustees are sworn in, which will occur on May 10, 2027.
The Board will review all submitted materials and conduct any personal interviews before making a final decision. Please note that not all applicants will receive a personal interview and there is no compensation associated with the position of Trustee.
