Who can get a card?
Library cards are provided free of charge to all residents of the Reddick Library district as part of your tax-supported library services.
How do I obtain or renew a library card?
To obtain a library card; you must be at least 18 years of age, reside or pay taxes within the Reddick Public Library District, have a valid photo ID with current address, and one additional proof of residence listed below:
- Voter’s registration card
- Vehicle registration
- Check
- Recent bill (dated within 30 days)
- Bank statement
- Lease agreement
- Recent pay stub
- Tax bill: Required for individuals who own property in our library district but reside outside our library district
- Additional proofs may be accepted at discretion of library management
If you only have your photo ID with current address with you, your library card will be mailed to you.
If your photo ID does not have your current address, please present two proofs of residence.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must register for you.
You may check out two items (excluding equipment) on the day that you apply for your new card.
You can also register for a library card online.
Renewing a Library Card
To renew your library card; please present your valid photo ID with current address and verify information on file is correct.
If your photo ID does not have your current address, please present one proof of residence from the above list.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must renew for you.
What if I’m under 18 years old?
If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must register/renew on your behalf.
